No Quick Fixes....

 If it were possible, I would like to take a moment to "fix" all of the things wrong with this picture of life right now.  I'd start by mending all of the broken hearts---hearts cracked from the loss of loved ones, dreams crushed from the "never wills", plans made and left unfinished, ideas blurred due to another trial---an unplanned trial, relationships severed due to circumstances BEYOND my control.
     When I'd done all I can(which certainly isn't much because I can't fix any of the hurts listed above) and reality returns,  I remember-------there is God------- He is here and there, He knows and cares and He is silently (for the most part) working all of these things in and out! Open my eyes to see O Lord, the wonderful things that You do and are doing and will bring to completion, when the timing is right---Your timing!  Inspire me, Heavenly Father, in the meantime.  Enable me to pray, in faith and with belief that You are a God of promise, A Finisher of tasks, a Binder of soul wounds and a Lover of broken hearts.                          Oswald Chambers said: "It is only the loyal soul who believes that God engineers circumstances. If we learn to worship God in the trying circumstances, He will alter them in two seconds when He chooses."    As I make the choice to worship and not fear and remember that God IS indeed in control, I will remember: Romans 8:28  "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes."

A few wise words on daily living.....

Helen Lowrie Marshall (1904-1975) penned this poem:

      "Isn't life glorious! Isn't it grand!
       Here---take it---hold it tight in your hand;
       Squeeze every drop of it into your soul,
        Drink of the joy of it, sun-sweet and whole!
        Laugh with the love of it, burst into song!
        Scatter its richness as you stride along!
        Isn't life splendid--- and isn't it great
        We can always start living---it's never too late!"
